The Police stated that unfortunately, the suspect managed to escape but the hunting for him is still on.

Residents also told the Police that Kato and Nanyonga were living happily together and had two children but they separated three years ago.But recently, they reunited and Kato started frequenting her home.

It was not yet clear what could have caused the suspect to kill the woman.Nsubuga said the Police would work closely with the residents to monitor Kato’s movements and said he was optimistic that he would be arrested and charged with murder. The Police removed the body and took it to Kalisizo Hospital for a post-mortem as investigations continue.
